I have been in the consulting business for many years working with investment banks and market infrastructure firms in equal measure. I have a technology background, having started my career in software development for a Cambridge-based startup, coupled with functional knowledge of post-trade processing gained from a diverse range of implementation and consulting projects. My work has ranged from advising clients on the impact of regulatory change, such as MiFID II and EMIR, to designing and implementing CCP platforms for interest rate swaps and cash equities.
My fascination with technology has never been far away and, with the increasing importance of FinTech, has been rekindled with a particular focus on blockchain in payments and settlements. I now lead the innovation stream of our Capital Markets group within Technology Consulting working with blockchain innovators such as SETL and Cobalt DL as well as other FinTechs focussing on robotics and cognitive solutions.
I am now working on multiple opportunities to work with clients in securities settlement, primary issuance, trade finance, loans, payments and FX post-trade processing using innovative technologies to tackle the cost and complexity inherent in legacy platforms.
