I absolutely love this story and its message for many reasons.
For the purposes of this post, though I want to focus on how Mary took what was a detailed and comprehensive dress code policy, from 10 pages to just 2 words.
I love the senior director challenge and the simple common sense applied that leads to a great outcome for all.
From now on, I think I will simply follow the same advice...dress appropriately.
Now I appreciate a dress code isn't regulated and legal - but there is a lesson here insurance firms. Pages and pages of convoluted wordings are sent to customers.
