Ringing in a new era! Amazon to acquire Ring

Ok, so I need to get better at headlines. But an interesting one for me here. Is Amazon following the strategy of Apple in terms of owning 'end to end' from device and hardware control all the way through to software and services?

Everyone I know who has one of these loves it. An interesting acquisition for sure and on the back of their recently announced home delivery (inside the house) and last months acquisition of blink. Combined with the Amazon echo series it won’t be long before they dominate the home.
